Controlled Closed Beta — How We Handle Your Data During Testing
Last Updated: 30 May 2026 URL: https://lhmetrics.com/privacy/policy
Summary
- This Notice covers the PensionPulse controlled closed beta only. It is separate from the production Privacy Policy that will be published at this same address when the production service launches.
- The beta is operated by Evgeny Yakushev (project “Life & Health Metrics,” pending incorporation).
- With your consent, we collect activity data (steps, motion) and compute biological-age indicators.
- We send activity data to our biological-age technology provider(s) to perform that computation. We may use more than one such provider; the current set is always listed in the BAA Provider Disclosure (linked in Section 5), and the specific provider/model used for a given result is also shown to you in the Report when it is generated.
- All beta data is temporary and will be permanently deleted when the beta ends. It does not migrate to production.
- Beta data is NOT used to train any production or in-house model.
- You can withdraw consent and request deletion at any time.
1. Who Operates the Beta
The Beta is operated by Evgeny Yakushev (the project “Life & Health Metrics,” pending incorporation as Life & Health Metrics, Inc.) (“we,” “our,” “us”). For the duration of the controlled closed beta, the operator is the data controller. On incorporation, the program and associated responsibilities will be assigned to Life & Health Metrics, Inc., and the production Privacy Policy will apply.
2. Scope
This Notice applies only to the controlled closed beta of the PensionPulse mobile application. It does not apply to the production service, the marketing website, or any other activity. The production service will have its own, more comprehensive Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
3. What We Collect During the Beta
- Account information: email address, account identifier, authentication tokens.
- Demographic inputs: date of birth and sex assigned at birth, both obtained from your Google or Apple account at sign-in (or entered manually if your account does not share them). We collect your full date of birth, but use it narrowly: the biological-age model uses the year of birth only, and we use the month for the countdown to your retirement date — the day is not used. You can change your date of birth, name, and sex anytime in Profile; only your email (used for registration) is read-only.
- Activity data (health-related): step counts, motion data from your device or, with permission, Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android).
- Derived health indicators: biological-age and aging-speed indicators computed from activity data.
- Financial inputs: the figures you choose to enter (we recommend approximate, not real, values during the beta).
- Diagnostic data: crash logs, error reports, basic usage events, to identify and fix issues. Beta builds may collect more diagnostic data than a production release.
4. How We Use Your Data During the Beta
- To operate the beta and provide the application for testing.
- To compute biological-age and aging-speed indicators and illustrative projections.
- To identify, diagnose, and fix bugs and performance issues.
- To communicate with you about the beta.
We do not use beta data for advertising. We do not sell or share beta data. We do not use beta data to train any production or in-house model.
5. Who Receives Your Data
- Biological-age technology provider(s): to compute your indicators, we send activity data, your sex, your year of birth, and a beta account identifier to one or more third-party providers that perform the biological-age computation under contract on our behalf. They process this data only to return the computation to us; they do not use it for their own purposes. We may use more than one such provider. The provider(s) currently in use are named in two places: the BAA Provider Disclosure, which always reflects the current set, and the Report itself, which shows the specific provider or model used for each result when it is generated.
- Infrastructure providers: cloud hosting and similar services that process beta data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- A financial advisor you choose to connect (optional): if you enter an advisor’s promo code — at sign-up or later from Profile → Subscription & Advisor — and give your separate, explicit consent, that advisor can read your data on the platform through their portal. This is access you grant and can pause or withdraw at any time from Profile, where your connected advisor (and their company) is always shown by name. Connecting does not hand your data to the advisor as a separate copy. Any messages or notifications the advisor sends you are signed with their name and company. If you do not connect an advisor, none of your data is visible to any advisor.
- Apple / Google: the beta is distributed through Apple TestFlight or Google Play closed testing; those platforms process limited data under their own policies.
- Legal: if required by law.
We do not sell beta data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with any third party for their own purposes.
6. Legal Basis
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your explicit consent for the collection and processing of activity-derived health-related data during the beta, and on the necessity of processing to operate the beta you have asked to join. You may withdraw consent at any time.
7. Disposability and Retention
All beta data is temporary. We retain beta data only for the duration of the beta. When the beta ends, all beta data — accounts, activity data, biological-age outputs, financial inputs, projections — is permanently deleted and is not migrated to the production service. We will also instruct our biological-age and infrastructure providers to delete the corresponding beta data they hold on our behalf.
If you withdraw from the beta or request deletion earlier, we will delete your beta data promptly, subject to short technical-rotation periods for backups. See the Data Deletion page.
8. Your Choices and Rights
- Withdraw consent: in app settings or by contacting us; processing stops.
- Delete your beta data: in app settings or by contacting us; see the Data Deletion page.
- Access or correct: contact us and we will help.
- Leave the beta: uninstall the app and ask us to delete your data; you can also remove yourself from TestFlight or Google Play closed testing.
Residents of jurisdictions with specific privacy or health-data rights (including California and Washington) retain those rights; contact us to exercise them. Because the beta is a controlled, temporary test with disposable data, the simplest path for most requests is deletion, which we honor promptly.
9. Where Your Data Is Stored
We store our data in the United States (our infrastructure is US-hosted). We cannot control or guarantee where you are located when you use the beta. Where your data is processed across borders — including by our biological-age technology provider(s), who adapt their processing region to our user base — we rely on recognised data-transfer safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mutual-recognition mechanisms, so your data carries appropriate protection regardless of where it is processed. Details of the provider(s) and their processing are in the BAA Provider Disclosure.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect beta data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; because the beta is a test, we again recommend you do not enter real, sensitive financial information.
11. Children
The beta is for adults 18 and older. Age is enforced from your date of birth at sign-up: if your date of birth gives an age under 18, sign-up is rejected and no data is collected. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
12. Changes
We may update this Notice during the beta. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email before they take effect.
